Abstract

The molecular structure of the new Ni(II) complex of p-nitrobenzoic acid and pyrazine was synthesized and deciphered. It found that the central atom was coordinated by the ligand of p-nitrobenzoic acid according to the monodentate type. Having the basic properties of the pyrazine molecule, it was coordinated by the nickel atom in a donor-acceptor type of bond through donor nitrogen atoms. Two water molecules through donor oxygen atoms were coordinated by nickel and complement its coordination number to six.
