Abstract

The objective of the present study was to investigate the beneficial effects of treatment of the abundant phytochemical Ferulic acid (FA), alone or in combination with angiotensin II receptor antagonist telmisartan on pressure overload–induced cardiac hypertrophy in rats. Albino Wistar rats were divided into 6 groups: Sham, abdominal aorta constriction (AAB) and three FA (20 mg/kg) treatment groups given as a pretreatment or post-treatment or in combination with telmisartan (Tel; 10 mg/kg).
