Abstract
Interventional cardiology and radiology workers are exposed with occupational radiation. Radiation workers must use not only personal dosimeter; but also eye lens dosimeter in order to maintain the dose that does not exceed the dose limit value set by Nuclear Energy Regulatory Agency (Bapeten) which is 20 mSv a year with no single year exceeding 50 mSv. In order to provide a reliable with affordable price dosimeter, a new eye lens dosimeter was developed at NuklindoLab using TLD-900 (CaSO4:Dy) disc for measurement of dose in term of Hp(3). The type testing including homogeneity test, linearity of dose response, angular dependence test, and determining detection threshold were done after the irradiation carried out in Secondary Standard Dosimetry Laboratory (SSDL) Agensi Nuklear Malaysia. The method of the irradiation was based on ISO 4037-3 and the reference of the type testing was based on ISO 12794. The coefficient of variance (CV) value from homogeneity test results 4.8%, the linearity test result R2 values vary from 0.998 to 0.999, the angular dependence result ranges from 0% to 19% with average value 12.9%, and the detection threshold of SOCA dosimeter value was 0.35 mSv.
