The sample in this study used a purposive sampling technique consisting of ten informants. Data collection was carried out by interviews, observation and documentation and data analysis techniques with data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions. Data validity technique with credibility test, namely source and technique triangulation. The purpose of this research is to find out the implementation of the talaqqi method in learning to read the Koran to improve the quality of reading the Koran. This research is motivated by the low ability to read the Al-Qur'an, so that many Muslims have not read the Al-Qur'an with the correct meaning and character. The talaqqi method is a sunnah for learning to read the Qur'an which is very helpful in improving the ability to read the Qur'an, especially reading the Qur'an with the correct meaning and characteristics, because students directly meet the teacher, and students can imitate the movements of their mouths teacher, the practice of reading the Qur'an is more guided and prioritizes more practice. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of learning to read the Koran at Bintang Al-Qur'an School has the characteristics of quality teachers and discipline, both students and teachers. Implementation of preliminary activities; the teacher spreads smiles to students, says greetings, brief preambles, prays, and reads Surah Alfatihah. The core activity begins with the teacher explaining the names of the letters, makhraj letters, the dominant character of the letters, the teacher gives an example of the correct pronunciation or sound and the students follow, the teacher gives an example of the wrong pronunciation, then students read one by one in front of the teacher to be corrected until students can pronounce the sound correctly.
