Abstract

The properties,synthesis technology and application status of 2,2,4,4-tetramethy-1,3-cyclobutanediol(CBDO) were introduced.The polyesters which had higher glass transition temperature,good weather resistance and hydrolysis resistance could be synthesized with CBDO as monomer.The preparation of CBDO was divided into 3 steps:isobutyric acid or isobutyric anhydride was pyrolyzed into dimethylketene,dimethylketene was dimerized to form 2,2,4,4-tetramethyl-1,3-cyclobutanediol,and then the intermediate was hydrogenated for CBDO.At present,the synthesis and application technologies are monopolized by Eastman Chemical Company,USA.

介绍了2,2,4,4-四甲基-1,3-环丁二醇(CBDO)的性质、合成工艺及应用现状。以CBDO为单体可合成玻璃化转变温度较高、耐候性和耐水解性较好的聚酯。CBDO的制备分为3个步骤:异丁酸或异丁酸酐热解生成二甲基烯,二甲基烯二聚形成2,2,4,4-四甲基-1,3-环丁二醇,中间体加氢生成CBDO。目前,合成和应用技术被美国伊士曼化学公司所垄断。
