The study population sample corresponds to medical personnel linked to a neonatal intensive care unit. The nature of the study is quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional. For data collection, a Likert-type survey was used. Statistical analysis based on Chi-Square.Results: The results highlight the necessity of a better knowledge of the work of the speech therapist in the unit. Conclusion: It was possible to identify the need and importance of the role of a speech therapist in the interdisciplinary team.
