Abstract
R value of Omicron strain has been recorded at 10 globally and in India the R value has been found to be at 2.69. The R value greater than 1 means that the numbers of cases are growing rapidly and clearly this variant is more contagious than the previous one. More over this wave is affecting children across the country. The data for this review were obtained from studies pertaining to clinical features, epidemiological and immunization trends in children obtained from various journals.
