Digital twins are virtual replicas of physical assets or processes and have emerged as a promising technology in various industries, including healthcare. This paper explores the application of digital twins in hospital operations and talks about their role in enhancing patient care and improving workflow efficiency. Through a comprehensive review of the literature and analysis of case studies, we examine how digital twins are revolutionizing traditional hospital practices and improving the delivery of healthcare services. The paper begins with an introduction to digital twins in healthcare, which provides an idea of the technology and its underlying principles. We then explore the many ways in which digital twins are being implemented across different areas of hospital operations, from patient monitoring in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to medication management in the pharmacy. Throughout this paper, we have included flowcharts that will help the reader better understand the idea we pitch. Furthermore, the paper discusses the challenges and considerations associated with adopting digital twins in hospital settings, including data privacy concerns, interoperability issues, and the need for better infrastructure. We also explore emerging trends and future directions in digital twin technology. We try to predict how this technology may continue to evolve and shape the future of patient care. In conclusion, this paper underscores the potential of digital twins to transform hospital practices and revolutionize the delivery of healthcare services. By using the power of digital twins, hospitals can improve operational efficiency, personalize patient care, and ultimately improve the overall quality of healthcare delivery.

Dental caries is a major global concern and source of great trouble worldwide. It is one of the most common chronic oral diseases in the world that affects both adults and children. The prevalence of DMFT index as a diagnostic criterion in the estimation of dental caries in the age group of 3–18 years was found to be 57%, whereas in patients aged above 18 years, it was much higher that is 77%.Many studies have been carried out all over the world to find the cause behind it, and the main cause, which was well accepted by the people, was the action of pathogenic bacterial microflora such as ( in the oral cavity on the tooth surfaces. These bacteria strongly adhere to the tooth surface and produce lactic acid after fermentation of sucrose and various carbohydrates, which is responsible for the cavitation in the teeth. Many experiments and efforts have been made to remove from the oral cavity, like antibiotics, oral drugs, and more, which are beneficial but have side effects after long-term use, such as vomiting, diarrhea, resistance, teeth staining, etc. That's why search ended at tea which is becoming a popular beverage and a widely consumed drink these days that has anti-streptococcal properties with least of side effect.India's tea usage changed over time from being a colonial export to a regular beverage. With over 29% of the global tea production, India is one of the world's biggest producers and consumers. In India, tea has long been closely linked to the medicinal herbs that have long been used for both therapeutic purposes and general well-being.

India was among the first countries to impose a nationwide lockdown due to Coronavirus Pandemic. Social contact was minimized, e-commerce boomed, education became online, and food and groceries were delivered home. A sedentary lifestyle resulted in increased screen time and changes in sleep patterns. All of this leads to mental and physical ailments like depression, obesity and heart problems. This research aimed to observe and analyze Physical Activity (PA) levels, Sedentary Behavior (SD), and Sleep Quality and Sleep Duration of college students in Kerala. The research was cross-sectional in nature. Purposive sampling and snowball sampling were used to find respondents. A total of 81 respondents in the age group of 18 to 22 participated in the survey, of which 56.8% were Male and 43.2% were Female. The International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ), the Sedentary Behavior Questionnaire (SBQ) and the Pittsburg Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) was used for measuring the variables. One-tailed z-test was used to test the hypothesis. The results of the study showed good levels of physical activity meeting the Metabolic Equivalent of Task (MET) guideline. Sedentary lifestyle was inherent amongst the participants. Majority had a healthy sleep duration but only a small percentage of them had good sleep quality. Thus, the results of this study show that college students in Kerala have a sedentary lifestyle, which might be due to the impact that COVID-19 had on already existing traditional systems.

The world has been experiencing the most crucial phase with consequences of COVID-19 pandemic, conflict, and anomalous climate (3C) vexing in to hopeless fall in socioeconomic conditions especially so in the low-and-middle-income group of countries (LMIC). 3C triggered colossal price shoot-up in elementary provisions, food and fuel, and surge in cost of subsistence reducing individual ability for out of the pocket expenditure for buying health resulting in non-utilization. The concomitant intricate multifaceted assault on civilization leading to interminable suffering needs an arrest through united and novel efforts to bring forth a peaceful, healthy and habitable world. Peace talks, promotion of scientific innovations, use of sustainable energy sources and universal health coverage through Primary Health Care would be indomitable worthwhile to sustain global growth and development. Practice of formal and regular intelligence that ascertains identification of threats and challenges of national interest, prioritizing them on a measurable standard and developing mitigation plans for the main cause of concern, need to be structured and maintained. Issues specific to the particular nations, societies and communities entwined with geo-political interests may be catalogued in the global threat directory in quest of international aid and support in days to come.

Parental awareness about hearing loss in newborns and newborn hearing screening programs are important for the early identification and intervention in children with hearing loss. Limited studies have explored the awareness of parturient mothers towards newborn hearing loss, newborn hearing screening, its importance and, the facilities for early hearing screening programs available at hospitals and clinics in the Indian scenario. The current study investigated the awareness of parturient about newborn hearing loss, newborn hearing screening facilities and its importance through a self- administered questionnaire survey. A total of 317 parturient across different clinics and hospitals in the city of Mangalore, state of Karnataka participated in the survey.: Majority of the parturient mothers (71.29%) were aware of the probability of hearing loss among newborns and only 56.46% of the participants had knowledge about the risk factors for newborn hearing loss. Only 42.58% have heard about newborn hearing screening before and 57.42% of the participants were unaware of the hearing screening programs available in hospitals and clinics and its importance. Despite of the education or socio-economic status, there exists a lack of knowledge among parturient mothers about hearing loss in newborns and newborn hearing screening. Responses from the current study raise concern about the need to educate the public particularly the new mothers or expecting mothers about the newborn hearing loss, risk factors for newborn hearing loss, hearing screening programs available in hospitals and clinics and its importance. Early identification of hearing loss in children is crucial for the successful implementation of early hearing intervention and better prognosis.

This retrospective study aimed to analyze the clinical characteristics, complications, comorbidities, and laboratory markers associated with COVID-19 progression among patients admitted to SPM Hospital, India. Clinical data of 440 confirmed COVID-19 patients admitted between June and December 2020 were analyzed. Demographic characteristics, clinical symptoms, comorbidities, laboratory findings, and radiological manifestations were reviewed. Patients were categorized based on age, gender, comorbidities, and disease severity. The study cohort comprised mainly elderly patients, with more than half aged 50-80 years and a male predominance. Fever, cough, and sore throat were the most common symptoms, with a significant proportion of patients presenting with comorbidities such as diabetes mellitus and hypertension. Laboratory markers including interleukin-6 (IL-6), D-dimer, C-reactive protein (CRP), serum ferritin (S. ferritin), and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) were elevated in severe cases, with higher levels observed in patients aged ≥50 years. Patients requiring oxygen supplementation had a higher mortality rate compared to those maintaining oxygen saturation on room air. Age, gender, and comorbidities were identified as risk factors associated with COVID-19 severity and mortality. Elevated levels of IL-6, D-dimer, CRP, S. ferritin, and LDH were indicative of disease severity and poor prognosis. Early identification of high-risk patients and personalized management strategies are essential for improving clinical outcomes in COVID-19 patients.
