Abstract
Persicaria capitata (Polygonaceae, Polygonoideae, Persicarieae), a species native from Nepal, and the genus Persicaria , are newly recorded for the introduced flora of Argentina. This species occurs in different habitats at the Natural Reserve La Cumbrecita (province of Cordoba). A detailed species description and a discussion about its status in the naturalization process are included.
