The concept of character education in Ki Hadjar Dewantara's perspective is an effort that intends to provide guidance, guidance and direction for the growth of students according to their nature so that they can achieve the highest safety and happiness. Thought the concept of character education according to KH. Hasyim Asy'ari and Ki Hadjar Dewantara are very relevant for today's education. Abstract

This study aims  to describe the concept of character education according to KH. Hasyim Asy'ari and Ki Hadjar Dewantara. At the same time to analyze the relevance of the concept of character education of the two figures to the current concept of character education.
