A visual field test revealed temporal abnormalities in the right eye. Optical coherence tomography revealed an indistinct ellipsoid zone (EZ) on the B-scan image and hyporeflective areas in the EZ layer on the en face image in the right eye. We diagnosed the patient with acute zonal occult outer retinopathy. Visual field tests and B-scan images improved to almost normal at 6 months, but hyporeflective areas remained on the en face images.
