A faster path to sustainability: the use of Digital Twins
One of the most fascinating and representative examples of digital transformation is the use of Digital Twins (DTs). The foundation of DT is the idea of a dynamic, virtual replica of an item or system that actually exists in the physical world. DT, which is supported and empowered by the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), aids in both historical performance analysis and predictive analysis of physical assets, which eventually results in effective business operations. In other words, it accurately mimics real-world situations to foretell performance results, technical flaws, and future system enhancements. Therefore, utilizing DTs can assist organizations and industries in creating and implementing more sustainable products, processes, and workflows. This paper presents an attempt to unlock the sustainability potential of DT technology.
