As a new FACTS device, IPFC has the function to regulate multiple lines' power flow As a brand-new FACTS component, IPFC can control multiple lines' power flow simultaneously. To make IPFC control the power flow of key lines efficiently, based totally on the power flow entropy (PFE) theory, the power flow transfer entropy (PFTE) and the power flow distribution entropy are proposed as the IPFC location and capacity determination indexes to determine the IPFC key control lines after the power flow transfer of the system and optimize the IPFC control strategy, alleviate the heavy load phenomenon of power flow of the line, improve the capacity utilization rate of the transmission line, and balance the power flow distribution of the system.
