Efficiency improvement in optical parametric oscillators by using pump pulses of optimum temporal and spatial profiles
We show that in ns OPOs, significant improvement in pump conversion efficiency can be achieved by using a double-rectangular pump pulse with soft-edge top-hat (SETH) spatial profile, instead of a Gaussian pulse.
