Unfolding the topological charge of a complex field through its Fourier-Bessel Transform 利用复场傅里叶-贝塞尔变换展开复场的拓扑电荷

We present a technique to determine the charge of a complex amplitude by extracting its Fourier-Bessel descriptors. The Cartesian signal is transformed to the polar frequency domain through the Fourier-Bessel Transform and analyzed.

Observation of two state behavior in the Instability induced Supercontinuum Generation of exponential saturable nonlinearity 指数饱和非线性不稳定诱导超连续统产生中的双态行为观察

We report a novel two state behavior in the Modulational Instability (MI) induced Supercontinuum Generation (SCG) in the exponential saturable nonlinearity (ESN). We identified the unique behavior of SCG in the ESN system, unlike the case of Kerr type nonlinearity, where the nonlinearity monotonously increases with power, in the case ESN, the effective nonlinearity follows in a unique such that there exist two different power at which the nonlinearity register same value. Because of which, an identical spectrum is observed at two different powers (i,e) input power (P) above and below saturation power (Ps). This we report as the two state behavior.

Supercontinuum generation in the novel semiconductor doped dispersion decreasing fiber 新型半导体掺杂色散衰减光纤中超连续谱的产生

A theoretical study of modulational instability (MI) in the semiconductor doped dispersion decreasing (SD-DDF) fiber is presented. We consider the combination of saturation of nonlinear response (SNL) and the dispersion decreasing fiber (DDF). The two extreme physical effects considered lead to exciting outcome, where decreasing dispersion leads to broadening the spectral width and saturation on the other hand suppresses the bandwidth. We proposed that instead of using DDF whose bandwidth is limited by the manufacturing constraints, the use of SD-DDF offers better tailoring of the bandwidth profile by suitably altering the power.

Coherent perfect absorption with Gaussian beams 高斯光束相干完全吸收

We study coherent perfect absorption in a metal-dielectric composite slab with bi-directional illumination using Gaussian beams. We show that CPA is possible with broader Gaussian beams, while tightly focused beams lead to incomplete absorption.

We show that in ns OPOs, significant improvement in pump conversion efficiency can be achieved by using a double-rectangular pump pulse with soft-edge top-hat (SETH) spatial profile, instead of a Gaussian pulse.

All-fiber design approach for temporal parabolic pulse (PP) generation through a very short length of tapered microstructured optical fiber (MOF) is proposed. A length of just ~ 20 cm of designed MOF is shown to yield PP for a Gaussian input at 2 μm wavelength.
