However, the existing evaluation method which focuses on the overall assessment of contractors is lacking effective evaluation rules for the single project. To deal with this issue, we propose a PCA-based evaluation method for distribution network engineering contractors, to supplement the existing evaluation system. First, evaluation indexes for distribution network engineering contractors were selected by principal component analysis (PCA). The dimensions of the raw data can be reduced and main feature components of data can be extracted by PCA. Then, the weight of each index was calculated to enhance the applicability of the selected index. Finally, based on the selected quality indexes and the weight of them, we propose an evaluation method for the single project.
