The objective of the study are to assess psychosocial parental stress during Covid-19 pandemic and find out the association between psychosocial parental stress and selected socio-demographic variables. Non probability convenience sampling technique was used in this study. The population of the study include 60 samples from selected rural community in Kottayam district. The samples who selected for the study are parents who do not affect COVID-19 pandemic between the age group of 40 to 60 years and who are interested to participate in research study. Tool used for data collection is perceived stress scale. A pilot study was conducted to assess the feasibility of the study. The instrument consist of perceived stress scale provided for collecting demographic data of parents including age in year, sex, area of living, educational status of the mother, educational status of the father, occupation of mother, occupation of father, type of family, monthly income and facilities of internet in home. The hypothesis made in the study was that there will be significant association between psychosocial parental stress during Covid-19 with selected demographic variables at 0.05 level of significance. The final study revealed that out of 60% having moderate psychosocial parental stress, 31.33% having mild psychosocial parental stress 5% were having poor psychosocial parental stress, 3.33% having severe psychosocial parental stress.
