With it, the question of how to cultivate innovative and compound talents in emerging disciplines has become one core difficulty in the current higher education. The highly interdisciplinary integrated STEAM education is suitable for the initial training of new talents. This paper studies the status quo of STEAM education and artificial intelligence education in Chinese universities.
