In the both cases of no measurement error and measurement error in the degradation test, to examine the influence of the experimental design variables, including the test sample size, the censored time, the degradation test interval, etc., on the parameter estimation variance, simulation is adopted in the degradation test and the timing censored life test. The results show that the degradation test efficiency is much higher than the life test whether measurement error exists or not.
