This structure has several interesting features useful for microwave and millimeter wave applications. Numerical results are presented to illustrate the effects of various structural and material parameters on propagation constant and characteristic impedance. By suitable choice of these parameters, a wide single-mode bandwidth and a wide range of characteristic impedance can be achieved.
