The quality of the post-harvest processing determines its safety, as well as its quality characteristics. The article considers the properties of a grain heap that affect the separation process. Wheat grain was analyzed for the amount of weed and grain impurities of varieties: \"Gift to Crimea\" and \"Premier\", harvested by a new unit for harvesting by the method of combing on the vine. It has been determined that the amount of weed in the grain after the unit is 16-17%, which is 5-10% more than after traditional combine harvesting and a stripping header aggregated with a combine.
