India is developing country. The demand of electricity is going on increasing day by day as the number of industries, residential complex, institutes, multiplexes, malls, hospitals and farm lift irrigation etc increases. The demand of electricity is more compared to theproduction of electricity .In order to match electrical demand and supply load shadingprinciple is used, which is not desirable .To tackle unusual power cut (load shading)industries, residential complex,institutes, multiplexes, malls, hospitals and farm lift irrigation etc need standby power source whenever required. Now days, generator is the most useful source of standby power.Considering the need of generators, the performance test of single phase generator setis carried out under different loading condition.
