A review of fundamental mechanisms and techniques in functional electrical stimulation
In this paper, we review various electrodes with individual design, address the influences of essential stimulator parameters and internal disturbances on the recruitment characteristics, and describe the control strategies of functional electrical stimulation (FES) musculoskeletal systems.
