Thus it is important to know what happens with teachers in rural schools. How has this technology influenced them? And do they have the technological competences and the necessary resources to improve their educational practice? This study aims to describe the perception of the importance of technological abilities in developing the rest of their professional abilities among the teachers of basic education of rural schools in the State of Nuevo Leon (Mexico). This first investigation of the subjecttakes a quantitative approach of the the descriptive type; where the study subjects are primary school teachers in rural schools who took a training course in technological skills in a State Teacher Training Center.
