Consider current situation of renewable energy utilization difficulties in recent years, this paper studies the optimal capacity configuration of LHSS combined SMES hybrid energy storage system to maximum use renewable energy. Based on above scene, a time series based method is proposed to simulate the operation scenario of a high penetration renewable energy system, and a capacity optimization method which objects to maximize the economic benefit of hybrid energy storage system is also proposed in this paper.
