The\n objectives of the study include: to determine the extent of motivation towards the use\n of e-resources by undergraduate students, to explore the level perception of the\n undergraduate students to acquire skills to use e-resources and to examine various\n challenges faced by students in the use of e-resources. This study was guided by\n descriptive research design. The population of this study consisted of 3725 registered\n undergraduate students across various Schools. Simple random sampling in probability\n sampling techniques was used for this study and the sample size of the study was 346.\n The findings of the study revealed that respondents had motivation to use e-resources\n for research, intellectual collaboration, build networks among users and improve\n personal and intellectual thoughts. It was concluded that though not all the public\n higher institutions in Gombe State participated in this study, e-resources in the study\n area were found to be useful. Students’ motivation towards access to e-resources\n improves research and learning among the students.
