This chapter also presents two cases on how to implement biosecurity in a veterinary practice/clinic, the first case occurred in a dog with methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus while the second case happened in a horse with salmonellosis. Implementing rules that should be followed for both cases focused on patient care, personal protection when handling the patient, management of premises, equipment and materials, and waste management.
