Vibration-Based Monitoring of Electrotechnical Systems of an Iron-and-Steel Enterprise
This paper emphasizes the importance of vibration-based monitoring of the technical condition of a metallurgical enterprise's equipment. Also, this paper presents a brief list of industrial facilities subject to vibration-based monitoring. Reasons for increased vibration of rotary equipment are described. The relevance of continuous vibration of the tank and body of the on-load tap changer body of electric furnace transformers is also emphasized. The paper provides a list of main vibration characteristics used to assess the technical condition of a facility. Also, charge pump vibration is analyzed and defects found. Conditions of a bearing and asynchronous motor were analyzed. Evolving defects confirmed during repair works were registered. The paper considers a method for vibration-based monitoring of oil pumps of the transformer's cooling system. Also, the paper provides results of assessing vibration on the electric furnace transformer's wall. Tolerable values of vibration parameters are given. The conclusion on the importance of vibration-based monitoring for identifying-at early stages-defects of electric and mechanical equipment was made.
