The focus on energy efficiency though can draw the attention away from other factors such as facility reliability. Efficiency improvements have been seen to affect reliability positively and negatively. The following paper will bring to light some of the designs concerns that must be accounted for while improving energy efficiency. It will continue to examine the effects that efficiency and reliability have on each other and ways to improve upon both.
