The increasingly widespread relationship between humans makes them inevitably have to learn foreign languages, especially English as an international language. In the world of education, English subjects have been taught since the Dutch colonial era and are still used until now. For a long time, English lessons have become a compulsory subject for junior high school and senior high school students. At the elementary school level, English subjects have become local content since 1996. Teaching English at various levels is not the same. At the elementary school level, English is more emphasized on improving and mastering vocabulary. In addition, teachers must use appropriate methods and media that will support learning activities. In this study, researchers will conduct an experiment centered on the use of picture books as a medium in increasing English vocabulary. In the context of community service carried out by the KKN-DR IAIN KEDIRI team. This research is aimed to children at the elementary school level in Sitimerto village. The research which was conducted using this pre-experimental method resulted in a conclusion. The results showed that the use of picture book media in increasing vocabulary was proven. In the study, it was found that there was an influence that showed a positive direction. 摘要
