Good traffic development planning will inevitably bring better conditions for urban development and construction. In this study, BIM technology is introduced into the application of a railway bridge and culvert project in China. Firstly, the application process and framework of BIM technology are planned in A/E firm. Secondly, the BIM model is applied in the planning and design phase of a railway track engineering bridge and culvert project. The project scale is 170km, including 10 project segments, and the BIM technology is fully utilized.
