In search of happiness quotient : An empirical evidence of work life balance in the Indian health care sector
Abstract This research is intended to assess the repercussion of work-life balance on the happiness quotient of professional trained employees of health care sectors who continually undergo work-family conflict (WFC) and family-work conflict (FWC).In order to analyze the same a questionnaire based survey was designed on 7 point likert scale for evaluating the aforementioned relationship based on dataset of 206 clinical doctors from the health care sector. The data set was analyzed with the help of using SPSS and AMOS and the results indicate that WFC and FWC are related and cause a rise in stress levels among clinical doctors, whereas coming to the part of Subjective Happiness(SH), it is examined that majority of the employees were satisfied with their current situation. Hence, it is concluded that achieving a work-life balance is considered as a predominant aspect of a doctor’s life as health care professionals have found that their duties are increasingly onerous, causing an increase in stress levels.
