The influence of mathematical ability was also investigated. Teacher Demonstration (TD) was used as a control strategy.The study adopted a quasi-experimental pre-test, post-test non-equivalent control design. 6 intact classes used in the study were randomly assignedto treatment and control groups. Data was collected using the Test of Integrated Science Process Skills Acquisition (TISPSA) and Mathematical Ability Test (MAT). Data obtained were analysed using ANCOVAat 0.05 level of significance. 摘要

利用探究策略学习科学的意识已经形成。它在尼日利亚中学化学课堂上的实施情况并不令人鼓舞。因此,本研究采用强化过程导向探究学习(EnhancedProcess Oriented guided inquiry Learning, EPOGIL)来吸引高中生参与探究,并确定其对高中生在某些化学概念中的综合科学过程技能习得的影响。对数学能力的影响也进行了研究。采用教师示范(TD)作为控制策略。本研究采用准实验前测、后测非等效对照设计。研究中使用的6个完整班级随机分为治疗组和对照组。采用综合科学过程技能习得测试(TISPSA)和数学能力测试(MAT)收集数据。所得资料采用方差分析,显著性水平为0.05。研究结果显示,治疗对综合科学过程技能习得有显著的主效应。基于这项研究的发现,我们建议化学教师采用EPOGIL等策略来提高他们对综合科学过程技能的习得,这将使他们在高等教育中取得成功,并在21世纪的工作世界中发挥作用
