The basic requirements and responsibilities of aircraft maintenance engineers according to the Handbook of Qualification Characteristics of Workers' Professions (Issue 68 \"Air Transport\") are analyzed. It was found that the readiness for professional activity of foreign students-future engineers of the aviation industry is a dynamic system of interconnected external and internal personality factors that interact in conjunction with the knowledge, skills and abilities acquired during professional training. activities.
