The aim of the research is to investigate ways of physical inability reduction used by physical education teachers at school and in the family. The following investigation methods: analysis of scientific literature and documents, the survey in written form, and statistical analysis of data were used. 136 physical education teachers from general education schools of 5 Lithuanian cities and regions took part in the research. According to sports teachers‘ view, in PE lessons students should deeply and exhaustively perceive physical activity as a component of healthy life, to acquire the knowledge about the influence of physical activity on health, active leisure time, about the use of information systems. The most important sporting motives of girls and boys do not always coincide. It is important to increase the lessons‘ attractivness, develop the abilities to individually exercise, to improve teacher-parent cooperation. Today, in student life, the attendance of sports groups at school and sports trainings, participation in school competitions, Olympic and Health Days and other sports events are effective ways of reducing physical inactivity.
