The present study was carried out in Lubachhara tea garden, Sylhet as a case to examine the socio- economic situation of the  tea plantation workers. Using a mixed method approach with a sample of 252 workers, the study explored the state of the workers with respect to some basic needs, such as health, sanitation, housing, nutrition, education, wages, and service benefits which were found to be very deplorable and inhumane. 摘要
