Translation of specialized vocabulary in popular science writing

Авторы рассматривают роль специальной лексики в научно-популярном тексте и основные способы ее перевода на примере медицинского текста на английском языке. В статье представлены результаты анализа лексики по стратификационному, содержательному, структурному и морфолого-синтаксическому принципам, а также способу словообразования; описаны наиболее часто применяемые трансформации при переводе специальной лексики с английского языка на русский The authors consider the role of specialized vocabulary in popular science writing and the translation techniques as exemplified by specialized vocabulary used in English medical science articles. The authors describe the results of the vocabulary analysis based on the stratification, content, structural, morphological-syntactic, and word formation principles. They also analyze the most common translation techniques used by the translators when translating specialized vocabulary in medical popular science articles into Russian.
