These systems use the Global Positioning System (GPS) for position information. Indoor navigation however cannot rely on GPS data, as the signals do not penetrate building structure. Thus other techniques are required to provide position information indoors. In this article the approach to an indoor navigation system based on the position information provided by the Device Whispering technique is presented. The position information acquired by Device Whispering is less precise than information acquired by the Fingerprinting technique but more robust. To compensate the deficit of precision the position information is combined with a movement model.
