Research on Magnetic Shielding Effectiveness of Different Materials Hollow Cylinder with Slits
At present, most shielding structures are made of conductive materials or ferromagnetic materials. Of course, the prospect of high-temperature superconductors, nanomaterials and composite materials as shielding materials is very optimistic. However, it often needs to make slits on the shield surface for the electrical equipment to ventilate air, dissipate hot, lead wire and etc, which will result in the electromagnetic leakage. The magnetic shielding characteristics simulation of different materials (such as iron, copper and high-temperature superconductors YBCO) cylindrical shields with one or two slits is studied in this paper. The effect of width, length, and direction of slits, the thickness of the shield and the excitation frequency on the magnetic shielding effectiveness is simulated. This paper also presents the effect of the position of two axial slits on the magnetic shielding effectiveness and simulation results show that the shielding effect of asymmetric slits is better than that of symmetrical slits. A preliminary verification of the simulation was carried out through an electromagnetic shielding experiment of the electricity meter, which is consistent with the simulation results.
