Many organizations go through the motions of a management review so that they have documentation to pass a third party audit, however the review is often not effective. The reason they are not effective is managers do not take the time to prepare, collect and analysis available data, not enough time is scheduled with Top Management, and what time is available, the participants do not feel it is well spent or value added. A Top Management’s review is intended to ensure the organization’s quality management system is suitable, adequate, effective, and aligned with the strategic direction of the organization.
