One thing that has caught the attention of researchers is the growing popularity of Discord. An application originally created for communication in online games is currently being converted to support online learning activities. Thus, this paper examines the gamification process of Discord in the realm of education by reviewing various papers on the use of Discord for learning purposes. The result shows that Discord, which was initially intended for gaming purposes, can assist online learning.
