By using an edge/vertex-coloring algorithm to carefully allocate the channels in the mesh network, the co-channel interference of the mesh network, particularly intra-node interference, can be significantly reduced. In our prototype, we found that with 90° angle separation, there is negligible intra-node interference and rate loss.
