The modelling of IPMSM incorporating the iron loss is also presented in this paper. The two major loss minimization algorithms such as search-based and loss model-based are compared. The loss minimization techniques using those two algorithms are presented. The real-time implementation of the IPMSM drive incorporating the LMA is discussed.
