Optimization of surface stabilized ferroelectric liquid crystal cells for efficient optical switching
In this paper they present the aspects of using surface stabilized ferroelectric liquid crystal cells as optical switches. SSFLC based switches offer good parameters and construction simplicity. First a short description of liquid crystals is given, than an idea of using liquid crystal cells as optical switches is presented. Next the experiments are described and summarized.
