Analysis of changes in HRD research topics before and after COVID-19 using keyword network analysis and topic modeling
The purpose of this study is to examine changes in research topics in major domestic HRD journals before and after COVID-19. To this end, a total of 710 papers from 2017 to 2022 were divided into pre-COVID-19 (2017-2019) and COVID-19 periods (2020-2022). Log odds ratio analysis, keywords network analysis, and topic modeling analysis were conducted, and the results of the study are as follows: First, the core keywords of research before COVID-19 were ‘knowledge,’ ‘career development,’ ‘innovation,’ ‘cooperation,’ and ‘women.’Second, the core keywords of research in the COVID-19 period were ‘COVID-19,’ ‘employment,’ ‘job finding,’ and ‘organizational culture.’ Third, new topics and keywords emerged in the COVID-19 period. 'Pandemic,' 'remote work,' 'job crafting,' and ‘online learning' were frequently used keywords in the period. Based on these results, changes in research topics in HRD journals related to COVID-19 were described. Academic and practicalimplications for the development of the HRD field in response to COVID-19 were also suggested.
