The poets tried to show and convince the readers that humanity is powerless and can not withstand the destructive energy of the nature. Landscapes in poetic works fulfill an important aesthetic and psychological function, help the authors to reveal emotions, mood, reflection, inner emotional experiences to the recipient, to adjust to the perception of joyous or sad information, and also indicate the geographical location of a particular event. Dynamic landscape in both poems is an important tool for representing reality and expressing authorial reflections of the power of the nature, which can be devastating and extremely dangerous to people. The titles of the works indicate the places of real events (Portuguese Lisbonin Voltaire’s poem and Hungarian Buda and Pestin Symeon Lysynetskyi’s poem).
