In this paper, we focus on manipulating the perceived surface shape of a curved object when touching it with an index finger, by visually deforming it's surface shape and displacing the visual representation of the user's index finger as like s/he is touching the deformed surface, using spatial augmented reality. Experiments were conducted with a projection system to confirm the effect of the visual feedback for manipulating the perceived shape of curved surface.
