In order to enhance stability, different methods are available to suppress surge, one possible solution is recirculating air from compressor discharge into the blade passage to control blade load distribution. This paper has the aim to investigate the effect of surge suppression holes on the stress distribution in a centrifugal compressor impeller hub.
