Using the KLoWF 2010 data, results from multinomial logistic regression analyses show that the factors may vary in terms of needs and resources of young couples as well as their elderly parents. We also find that there are different mechanisms through husband-side elderly parents and wife-side ones. The purpose of this research is to analyze the factors affecting geographical proximity with elderly parents of married women aged 30-40s in South Korea.
