To achieve this, a smart cat eye reflector is embedded with an accelerometer, low-cost Wi-Fi microchip with full TCP/IP stack and microcontroller compatibility and an Arduino Uno microcontroller for the processing of the data through a wireless channel. To identify the damage area using smart cat eye reflector, the effectiveness of this device is tested by taking measurements of protypes of undamaged and damaged test bridge system.
